An awesome and quirky collection of seven porcelain dwarves or midgets in the manner of Jacques Callot. Sometimes also referred to as "gobbi", these dwarfs are kind of ugly hunchbacks. They date from the 18th and 19th century and were made in Germany or Austria. Three of these are marked with an "N" on the bottom and a crown on top of it, which would indicate that they have been made by Ernst Bohne Söhne. The figures show some slight restaurations and repairs but, not noticeable at first sight.
