For the post 30 years and more Tongeren has been coming to life and buzzing with activity very early on Sunday mornings. More than 350 stand holders and 25 antiques shops display their very best wares for the vast numbers who flock to visit the biggest antiques and curiosity market in the Benelux.

On Sunday mornings, Tongeren becomes an international town and "the place to be" for an increasing number of Dutch people, Germans, French, British and Americans. All of them looking for that "unique" antique or piece of curiosity. And what better way to end at visits to the antiques and curiosity market than with a visit to the town centre or stopping a while to sample some of the food and drink on offer on a friendly terrace or in and elegant restaurant. Your Sunday morning outing is a guaranteed success.
